Eventus Legal are seeking an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor or Legal Executive to join a well-established and growing law firm based in Coventry, West Midlands. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity offering high-quality claimant work, strong earning potential, and genuine flexibility within a supportive and ambitious team environment.

The successful candidate will join a respected Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence department, managing a varied caseload of claimant clinical negligence matters, including complex and high-value claims.

This role would suit an experienced fee earner looking to progress within a forward-thinking firm that values client care, autonomy, and long-term career development. Flexible / Hybrid working available (3 days in the office & 2 days working from home) along with an excellent bonus structure with strong earning potential and free parking.

Role Responsibilities

The Clinical Negligence Solicitor / Legal Executive will be responsible for:

  • Managing a caseload of claimant clinical negligence matters from inception through to resolution
  • Handling both pre-litigated and litigated claims
  • Conducting client meetings and taking detailed instructions
  • Attending Court hearings where required
  • Liaising with Counsel, medical experts, witnesses, and third parties
  • Preparing legal documents, witness statements, schedules of loss, and instructions to experts
  • Valuing claims and negotiating settlements
  • Working collaboratively within an established claimant Personal Injury team
  • Delivering high levels of client care and maintaining strong professional standards

Person Specification

Applications are welcomed from Solicitors, Legal Executives, or experienced fee earners who possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience handling claimant clinical negligence matters
  • Strong experience managing both litigated and non-litigated claims
  • A proven track record handling high-value and complex cases
  • Excellent billing history and commercial awareness
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively within a team
  • Excellent client care and relationship management skills
