Eventus Legal are seeking experienced Childcare Solicitors to join an expanding and successful team with offices across the country. These roles can be based in either the law firm's Leicester or Nottingham offices. The roles are full-time permanent job positions with a hybrid and flexible working pattern. Role responsibilities
The incoming Childcare Solicitors will form an important part of the team, overseeing due diligence to legal aid applications and CCMs procedures. You will be providing technical expertise and guidance to team members and external clients, ensuring the childcare team provides a first-class, quality service. Some daily duties will also cover:
- Managing a varied childcare caseload.
- Representing parents, grandparents, other family members and children through their CAFCASS-appointed guardian.
- Liaising with clients.
- Attend conferences and undertake own advocacy.
- Deliver training to the team.
- Supervising junior colleagues and paralegals.
- Develop the department, generate work and build upon existing clients.
Person specification
Applications are sought from Childcare Solicitors with experience working in a multi-site, fast-paced legal firm working across a variety of cases. Ideally, you will be a panel member with your own Guardian following however, this is not essential. You will ideally have at least 1 year’s PQE and will be able to demonstrate the following:
- A strong focus on client care.
- An approachable and professional manner when dealing with sensitive matters.
- Strong organisation skills.
- Commercial awareness.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent time management.
