Eventus Legal are seeking a Childcare Paralegal with experience to join a growing successful team based in Luton. Role responsibilities
The incoming Childcare Paralegal will form an important part of the team, assisting with casework including a range of public matters. You will be providing support and guidance to team members and external clients, ensuring the childcare team provides a first-class, quality service. You will need to undertake your own advocacy. The varied caseloads will cover but not exhaustive to:
- Special guardianship, child protection issues, child abduction, adoption matters and care and supervision, 16.4 matters, EPOs and interim care orders
- Obtaining and reviewing evidence
- Keeping clients up to date with the progress of their case
- Drafting correspondence to clients, the courts and third parties
Person specification
Applications are sought from Childcare Paralegal who have been working in a multi-site, fast-paced legal firm working across a variety of cases. Ideally, you will have:
- A strong focus on client care
- An approachable and professional manner in dealing with sensitive matters
- High organisation skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Commercial awareness
- Excellent time management
