Eventus Legal are seeking a Care Solicitor to join a successful law firm based in Birmingham. This is a permanent, full-time role. Benefits include hybrid working with 3 days remote working, continuous training, development, and good starting holiday allowance.  

Role Responsibilities

As the Care Solicitor you will be responsible for delivering a high standard of client care whilst managing your own caseload, you will attend to enquiries and clients in the Family department.

Key Responsibilities

The Care Solicitor position is suited to a confident legal professional with first class interpersonal and motivational skills and the passion to help drive the firm forwards.

The Role:

  • Successfully manage your own caseload.
  • Open and maintain client files.
  • Provide clear and comprehensive advice to clients.
  • Represent clients in court and at local authority.
  • Fully instruct counsel, agents and experts when required.
  • Ensure all court orders are read and actioned.
  • Complete Legal Aid applications.
  • Ensure all files are submitted for billing in a timely manner.
  • Develop working relationships with professionals within the legal field.
  • Processing stakeholder enquiries promptly to ensure that all business opportunities are dealt with professionally and to the satisfaction of the client or enquirer.

Person Specification 

The incoming Care Solicitor will assume responsibility for accurate recording of Legal Aid Billing for work produced.  Importantly, the successful legal professional will need the following:

  • Qualified Solicitor or CILEX.
  • Experience in Public Children Matters.
  • Self-motivated, clear thinking and able to carry out case work accurately.
  • Excellent computer literacy skills.
