Eventus Legal are seeking a Care Lawyer to join a successful law firm based in Northampton. This is a permanent, full-time role. Benefits include a generous holiday allowance, continuous training, development, and progression opportunities.
Role Responsibilities
The incoming experienced Care Solicitor / Chartered Legal Executive will be responsible for dealing with full range of matters including childcare work and advocacy. You will be managing your own caseload which will include Protection Orders, Supervision Orders, Care Orders, Adoption Orders and Special Guardianship Orders, Defending abuse, neglect and injury allegations and Domestic abuse cases.
On occasion you may be required to also manage the following to support the department and the team with prohibited Steps and Specific Issues Orders
Person Specification
The incoming Care Solicitor will have experience in dealing with all Family and Childcare matters. Importantly, the candidate will need the following:
- Proven track record of legal care work, with a minimum of 2 years+ PQE.
- Be able to undertake own Advocacy (as far as possible)
- Have a positive and proactive approach to both, clients, and staff.
- Possess the motivation to drive marketing in the Northampton area.
- Be confident, passionate and possess first class communication skills.
