Eventus Recruitment are seeking a Legal Accounts Manager with experience to join a successful, law firm located in Liverpool. The successful Legal Accounts Manager will be rewarded for their work with benefits including a starting holiday of allowance of 25 days with the potential to increase to as high as 32 days plus bank holidays, a generous salary and huge growth and development potential. The intention would be to progress the successful candidate up to Senior Finance Manager in time. This is a full-time permanent job opportunity in legal finance.
Role Responsibilities
The successful Legal Accounts Manager will carry out a range of duties including:
- Supervising Cash Office Team
- Ensuring SAR and AML Processes are properly followed
- Assisting Fee Earners with Ledger queries
- Ensuring Bank Accounts are Reconciles
- Month End and Year End Processing
- Checking bills and credit notes
- Day-to-day processing of all client and office related transactions.
- Client Interest calculations
- Maintaining purchase ledger
- Managing cash-flow and liaising with Directors
- Checking completion statements
- Overseeing team performance, development, and training, managing evaluations and addressing any issues with office management.
- Allocating team resources for effective service, providing after-hours support if necessary.
- Dealing with SAR Audit.
- Dealing with debtors and unpaid disbursement collection.
Person Specification
The incoming Account Manager will have experience as a Legal Cashier or Finance Assistant. Also, to be successful for this job you will have the following knowledge and skills:
- Recent experience working under SRA Solicitors Accounts Rules in a law firm is essential
- Familiar with AML and potential risk of Fraud
- Minimum of three years' finance management experience in the legal industry
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with including senior firm members
- Skilled in managing a small finance team, coordinating workflow, providing feedback, and conducting annual reviews
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with lawyers, staff, suppliers and clients
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills to handle deadlines and daily demands in a dynamic environment
- Solid knowledge of fundamental accounting principles, management accounts and internal controls
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
