This Legal Secretary job is ideal for an experienced Conveyancing Legal Secretary or Property Legal Secretary who can hit the ground running within a busy Residential Conveyancing team. You will be based in the Yarm, North Yorkshire office, supporting fee earners with a varied caseload of residential property transactions while being part of a close-knit and supportive team.

Role Responsibilities

As a Legal Secretary supporting the Residential Conveyancing department in Yarm, North Yorkshire, you will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative assistance. The incoming Legal Secretary will play a pivotal part in ensuring the smooth progression of residential property files and delivering outstanding client care.

Your responsibilities as a Conveyancing Legal Secretary will include:

  • Providing dedicated secretarial support on a busy caseload of residential conveyancing matters including sales, purchases, new builds, leasehold properties and equity release cases.
  • Preparing correspondence, contracts and legal documentation through audio dictation and digital case management systems.
  • Assisting with the progression of residential property files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and third parties to maintain proactive communication throughout transactions.
  • Using the LEAP case management system (experience highly desirable).
  • Handling Land Registry applications, SDLT submissions and general administrative tasks.
  • Ensuring exceptional client care standards are upheld at all times to maintain the firm’s strong local reputation.
