Eventus Legal is looking for a skilled and highly credible Family Solicitor to join a well established and respected legal firm in Bradford, West Yorkshire. Our client is a well established, forward thinking law firm, recognised for delivering high quality legal services with a client centred approach. The have a team of approachable and experienced Solicitors who specialise in all aspects of property law and are now looking to grow their Family Law department with this exciting new role. This is a brand new role where you will be part of the team who set up the Family department. The role is permanent, full time, offering a salary up to £50,000, free onsite parking, 25 days holiday and free financial and pensions advice.
Role Responsibilities:
The incoming Family Solicitor based in Bradford, West Yorkshire will be responsible for providing support in the following areas:
- Manage a diverse caseload including divorce and separation, financial remedy proceedings, children act matters, cohabitation issues, domestic abuse and protective injunctions
- Provide clear, accurate legal advice and representation to clients
- Conduct advocacy where appropriate
- Draft legal documents, statements, and court applications
- Maintain high standards of file management and compliance
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent communication and service delivery
- Contribute to business development, networking, and the growth of the Family Law department plus recruiting, mentoring and managing new junior employees
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the firm especially within the Family Law department
Person Specification:
The successful Family Solicitor based in Bradford, West Yorkshire will ideally have a minimum of 5 years’ PQE upwards of family law casework.
- Qualified Solicitor with around 4-5 years’ PQE in Family Law
- Strong knowledge of private family law and relevant procedures
- Excellent client care skills with the ability to deal sensitively with vulnerable clients
- Confident advocacy experience
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A proactive, solution-focused approach to casework
- Experience using case management systems
- Previous experience managing and mentoring junior staff
